Odd Tower Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-22

This Privacy Policy describes how the Odd Tower mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use it.

By installing, opening, or playing Odd Tower, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and agree to our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@valentoapps.com (or whichever support address is shown in the App's Settings).

1. Who we are

Odd Tower is operated by the publisher of the Google Play listing com.oddtower.com. References to "we", "our", or "us" mean that publisher (Valento Apps).

2. What Odd Tower does

Odd Tower is a physics tower-stacking game. You place geometric forms, manage in-game matter, use construction tools, and try to keep a tower standing as height and weather increase. Core gameplay runs on your device.

The App does not require a Valento Apps account and does not sync gameplay saves or drawings to our servers. An internet connection is used for ads, app updates via Google Play, and opening linked legal pages.

3. What data we collect

3.1 Data on your device

The App stores preferences and lightweight state locally (for example via on-device storage such as SharedPreferences):

CategoryWhat it isWhy we need it
RecordsBest height / score on this device.Show your personal best.
App preferencesLanguage, theme (light/dark), audio volumes, physics-visualisation toggles, pinned tools, analysis density, and similar UI settings.Personalise the App.
Guidance flagsWhether first-run onboarding finished and which one-shot tips you have already seen.Avoid repeating coach marks and tips.

This local data is not uploaded to Valento Apps servers.

Active play sessions (current tower, matter bank, tool state) live in memory for that session and are not synced as a cloud save.

3.2 Advertising and consent (Google)

Odd Tower shows Google AdMob ads:

Before ads are requested where required by law, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to gather consent or show other privacy messages. Where required, Settings may include a Privacy options entry so you can review or change ad privacy choices.

When ads are served, Google and its partners may process device and ad identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, interaction data, and similar signals under their own policies. We do not sell your data. We do not receive a copy of your full advertising profile from Google.

We do not control Google's or its partners' independent processing. Their practices are governed by their own policies. See section 4.

Odd Tower is configured as not child-directed (age 13+). See Google's policies for how AdMob treats that signal.

3.3 What we do not collect

We do not:

Aggregated diagnostics or crash statistics may still appear in Google Play Console on Google's side; we do not embed a separate crash SDK in the App.

3.4 Device permissions and network (Android)

Permission / signalUse
InternetLoad ads, Google Play / consent flows, and open linked web pages (for example this Privacy Policy).

Odd Tower's core loop does not require camera, contacts, microphone, or fine location. If a future version requests optional sensitive permissions, the App and this policy will describe them.

4. Third-party services

ProviderRole
Google PlayApp distribution, updates, and any store-managed billing. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob / Google Mobile AdsRewarded and interstitial advertising. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)Consent and privacy messaging for ads where required.

Optional links from the App (Privacy Policy, Terms, Play Store rating) open in an external browser or system sheet. Those destinations have their own policies.

5. How we use data

We use on-device data and advertising infrastructure to:

6. Your choices

You can also limit ads personalisation in your device or Google account settings where Google provides those controls.

7. Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you delete it, clear App storage, or uninstall the App. We do not retain Odd Tower gameplay data on our servers because the App does not upload it.

Advertising and consent records held by Google are retained according to Google's policies.

8. Children and parental responsibility

Odd Tower is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for users 13 years of age or older, consistent with our Terms of Service.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 for our own systems (the App has no Valento Apps account).

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for:

We are not responsible if a person under 13 uses the App because a parent, guardian, or other adult installed it, shared a device, ignored age ratings, or otherwise allowed access in breach of our Terms.

If you believe a child under 13 has contacted us (for example by email) in a way that requires deletion under applicable law, contact support@valentoapps.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete information we control.

Third-party advertising services may process data under their own rules when ads are shown. See section 3.2 and Google's policies.

9. International processing

If you use the App outside the publisher's country, your information may be processed by Google and its partners in other countries as described in their policies. We do not operate a separate Odd Tower gameplay backend that stores your play data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes. The "Last updated" date is the source of truth. Material changes will be announced in the App or on our website when practical.

Continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy takes effect means you acknowledge the updated policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App and uninstall it.
